About the role

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing and developing a team of associates, ensuring optimal customer experiences, and executing various operational tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Brings supervision and support to the direction and planning of associates' daily goals and activities to deliver exceptional client experiences, maximizing sales and driving customer loyalty in assigned stores.

  • Ensures all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POS guidelines, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc., and acts as the main point of contact to resolve customer issues and concerns.

  • Analyzes store trends and anticipates customer demands.

  • Engages, trains, and develops the team to achieve positive results, identifies strengths and opportunities for each associate, and addresses them through coaching or counseling.

  • Holds the team accountable to Company policies and expectations, maintains positive associate relations by resolving concerns and keeping associates informed of relevant Company information, and builds strong working relationships with Store Manager peers.

  • Maintains consistent and timely communication with the Store Manager, ensures all store processes are executed correctly, manages payroll hours, and ensures all store opening and closing procedures are performed.

  • Ensures the store environment is safe at all times for associates and customers, adheres to all policies and procedures, analyzes and utilizes available reporting, tools, and technology, and ensures stores are compliant with HAZMAT training and execution.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • At least 18 years of age.

  • Minimum 3+ years of retail sales/customer service experience preferred.

  • At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred.

  • Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business.

  • Cosmetology license desirable, but not required.
