Assistant Store Manager - Nike Reno

About the Role

Behind every great team is a great coach. As a Nike Assistant Store Manager (referred to as an Assistant Head Coach), you’ll be the face of NIKE, guiding customers with your diverse experience and passion for sport. You’ll lead a high-volume, fast-paced team focused on delivering exceptional customer service while embodying NIKE’s culture of sport, inclusion, and community. Your role includes training and inspiring your team, fostering positive moments, and driving store growth through strategic leadership and community partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to ensure seamless store operations and exceptional customer experiences.
• Attract, assess, and onboard new team members to maintain optimal staffing levels.
• Equip employees with the tools and training needed to succeed in their roles.
• Drive store performance by managing critical metrics, including budgeting, sales, and customer service.
• Oversee the product lifecycle, from stockroom management to visual merchandising and sales floor execution.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution to support team development and inclusion.

Requirements

• Four years of customer-facing retail or hospitality experience.
• Three years of leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, build, and lead high-performing teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail business systems.
• Ability to bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Proven ability to utilize tools for conflict resolution, employee coaching, and counseling.
• Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
