Assistant Store Manager (New Store Opening)

About the role

FIGS is looking for an experienced retail Assistant Store Manager to assist in running our new store in Scottsdale, Arizona. You will support the store manager in all retail operations and help develop and manage FIGS sales associates. Your role is to set the tone for the retail team and bring the FIGS brand to life while driving business through excellent management and customer experience. Collaboration with your leadership team is essential to create a successful team that meets and exceeds goals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the FIGS brand and mission are consistently represented
• Participate in visual merchandising and coach the team on store standards
• Support execution of innovative projects on tight deadlines
• Communicate inventory and product performance needs to the store manager weekly
• Spend a minimum of 4 days a week on the sales floor leading by example, providing feedback, and coaching in the moment
• Educate and train your team to ensure an exceptional customer experience
• Manage and maintain sales goals for the store
• Unpack inventory boxes (weights range from 5–30 lbs) as required
• Accurately track hours and expenses, and review P&L/income statements for accuracy
• Ensure all safety and security procedures are followed and communicate potential issues

Requirements

• 5+ years of retail experience
• 2+ years managing high-volume retail operations
• Action-oriented with a drive for results
• Ability to motivate others and build effective teams
• Skilled at mediating and negotiating to resolve conflict
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must be available to work Black Friday (the day after U.S. Thanksgiving) and from the second week of December until the end of the holiday season (defined annually based on return policies)

Pay

Base salary range: $65,000–$70,000. Actual salary is determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
