Assistant Site Supervisor - Expanded Learning Programs (Encinitas)
Responsibilities
Aid in the planning, management, and implementation of program activities aligned with grant, school district, and partner goals.
Supervise program participants, ensuring their safety and guidance at all times.
Provide positive behavior guidance that supports students' developmental, social-emotional, and physical needs.
Act as lead staff during absences of the Site Supervisor.
Recruit students and promote expanded learning activities to maintain program capacity.
Collaborate with school and district personnel to integrate high-quality academic activities and foster positive relationships.
Manage attendance data, program documents, student files, and other administrative duties as assigned.
Ensure proper maintenance, organization, cleanliness, and safety of space for program activities.
Respond to and manage critical incidents, and perform physical activities such as leading sports, games, academic assistance, assemblies, and transitions.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older and hold a high school diploma/GED.
- One year of experience in child and youth development, education, or a comparable setting is required.
- Visual and auditory abilities to respond to critical incidents and physical ability to act in emergencies and lead activities.
- Completion of CPR/AED and First Aid certification from an approved organization within 30 days of hire.
- Completion of 48 college credits or an AA/AS degree from an institution of higher education.
- Pass a classroom assistant/instructional aide proficiency exam.
- Licenses, state laws, and funders require fingerprinting and negative TB assessments/test results.
- Qualified under the San Diego County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act.
Pay
USD $21.00 - USD $23.63 per hour.
