About the role

The Assistant Site Supervisor works as part of a team to provide direct supports, guidance, education, advocacy and supervision for individuals with developmental and/or cognitive disabilities. The Assistant Site Supervisor takes a leadership role for both identified individuals and the household, helping individuals live safely in the community, maintain their physical and emotional health, foster relationships with housemates, family and community, and develop the skills necessary to increase the individual’s independence.

Responsibilities

- Supports the human rights of individuals through the development of self-worth, empowering individuals to become the primary decision-makers in their lives. - Offers a listening and counseling presence for individuals with questions and concerns. - Assures the safety and well-being of individuals in the community. - Maintains and fosters positive relationships with housemates, family, and community members. - Assists in the development of daily living skills and socialization activities. - Assures that all individuals have access to appropriate medical, educational, and recreational opportunities. - Assures that all individuals have access to appropriate medical, educational, and recreational opportunities. - Assures that all individuals have access to appropriate medical, educational, and recreational opportunities. - Assumes responsibility for day-to-day operations of the home in the absence of the Site Supervisor.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. - Previous supervisory experience preferred. - A minimum of three years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, with at least one year in residential services preferred.

Qualifications

- Excellent communication and organizational skills required. - Valid driver's license required.

Skills

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Knowledge of developmental disabilities and support services. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
