About the role
This full-time law enforcement position consists primarily of dignitary protection for State Legislators, threat assessments and investigations.
Responsibilities
- Protect State Legislators and dignitaries within the Capitol Complex.
- Conduct threat assessments and investigations.
- Work under the supervision of the Chief of Police, at the direction of the Clerk of the House of Representatives.
Requirements
- MCOLES certified or eligible for re-certification.
- Minimum of four (4) years of law enforcement experience. Military experience may be considered towards this four years requirement.
- Certified or able to be re-certified in Emergency First Aid, CPR and AED.
- Possess an associate degree, with bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
- Basic computer skills and investigative experience is preferred.
- Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.
Qualifications
Salary Range: Starting annual salary of $60,000, with health benefits and retirement options.
