Assistant Armorer

Responsibilities

• Have thorough knowledge of the principles of operation, disassembly/reassembly procedures and troubleshooting of NSW and SOCOM specific weapons, Visual Augmentation Systems (VAS) and weapon accessories from here to be referred to as Combat Weapons Systems (CWS).
• Aid in conducting assessments and required repairs to all CWS, including depot-level repairs to applicable systems.
• Aids in CWS inventory, storage, receipt, issue, and movements to meet all security and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Must meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements.
• Must be prepared to complete the Naval Special Warfare Enhanced Organizational Level Armorer Course upon soonest available opening.
• Must be able to lift items up to 75 lbs.
• 3+ years’ experience repairing small arms.
