Assistant/Senior Assistant Director of Admissions - Kenyon College
The Assistant / Senior Assistant Director of Admissions will join a highly collaborative and student-centered enrollment division during an exciting period of innovation and strategic growth. Working from Lowell House - a newly renovated admissions center at the heart of campus - staff members participate in a deeply team-oriented environment focused on relationship-building, thoughtful recruitment, and the careful shaping of each entering class.
Responsibilities
- Manage a geographic recruitment territory
- Counsel and advise prospective students and families through the college search and application process
- Conduct interviews, presentations, and outreach programs
- Cultivate relationships with school counselors and community-based organizations
- Evaluate applications for first-year admission
Requirements
- Significant travel (approximately 8–10 weeks annually)
- Evening and weekend responsibilities throughout the admissions cycle
Qualifications
- An interest in emerging trends and tools shaping enrollment work, including comfort learning and utilizing new technologies, data-informed practices, and evolving communication platforms while maintaining the highly personal approach that defines Kenyon’s admissions philosophy
- An understanding of and appreciation for the mission of a residential liberal arts college, including a commitment to working with students and families from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
