Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, implements and conducts independent scientific research.
• Performs complex laboratory testing, experiments and analysis following established protocols.
• Analyzes and evaluates findings.
• Organizes and conceptualizes ideas leading to proposals.
• Writes technical summaries and publications.
• Prepares and makes formal presentations of research results.
• Acts as principal investigator on grants.
• Serves as co‑author or senior author of proposals, journal articles and technical reports.
• Implements experiments in the subject discipline and troubleshoots issues.
• Operates complex pieces of equipment requiring advanced specialized training.
• Applies modern research methods, data collection and analysis.
• Analyzes and evaluates data with significant experience.
• Applies project management, decision‑making and analytical skills.
• Communicates strongly verbally, in writing and interpersonally.
• Works collaboratively with a research group or team.
• Occasional local travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in a clinical, health, or life science field.
• Minimum of three years post‑doctoral experience in a related subject field.
• Equivalent to Assistant Professor rank.
• Competitive publication record for rank and discipline.
