About the role
The Center for Nanoscale Materials (CNM) at Argonne National Laboratory seeks an Assistant Scientist with expertise in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. The CNM is a DOE Office of Science user facility offering advanced expertise and instrumentation for multidisciplinary nanoscience and nanotechnology research.
Responsibilities
- Carry out basic research and development to advance nanoscience and nanotechnology.
- Engage with and enhance the CNM user base.
- Leverage existing cutting-edge capabilities and scientific expertise at the CNM.
- Model Argonne’s core values of impact, safety, respect, integrity, and teamwork.
Requirements
- Minimum education requirement: Ph.D. in the Physical Sciences.
- A strong background in areas of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology research.
- Ability to model Argonne’s core values of impact, safety, respect, integrity, and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Experience in the Physical Sciences.
- Research interests aligned with CNM's strategic science directions.
- Engagement and growth of the scientific user program.
- Diversity-equity-inclusion strategy.
Skills
