About the role

Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for an Assistant Scientist to join our team in Hercules, CA.

Responsibilities

• Completes work for research and development under GLP guidelines for studies, documentation, etc.
• Assists in conducting, monitoring, and reporting studies to ensure data accuracy and report quality.
• Provides basic analytical work on projects and studies using a range of analytical techniques and instruments.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Skills

• Preferred: HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS
• Basic Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering, or comparable coursework. In rare cases, demonstrated competence and experience may substitute for the degree.
• Familiarity and/or experience in a laboratory setting.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with overtime required as needed.
• Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Hercules, CA are encouraged to apply.

Pay

$23.50 per hour.
