Assistant Salon Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage all salon operations and provide leadership and tools for success.
• Lead by example to help staff increase their clientele and the business.
• Focus on salon profitability and teach stylists business fundamentals.
• Provide all hair care services offered by Supercuts, ensuring the highest quality for each guest.
• Act as a coach and mentor to bring out the best in salon employees, fostering a positive work environment.
• Hire, recruit, train, and handle conflicts and client complaints with professionalism.
• Perform administrative tasks, including closing out the system at the end of the day.

Requirements

• Current cosmetology or barber license as required by state/provincial regulations.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Tech-savvy with basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Availability to travel to mandatory meetings and training sessions, including overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Lead by example with customer service at your core.
• Ability to resolve challenges with professionalism.
• Experience in training, developing, and guiding a team on business and technical matters.
• Focus on maintaining the salon’s bottom line.

Physical Requirements

• Good eyesight, including close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Comfortable standing, lifting, bending, and performing repetitive movements.
• Occasionally lift 10-25 lbs.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to chemicals and fragrances used in salon treatments.
