We're a top 3 hair salon in Fairfax (FFXNow Readers’ Choice 2026) and offer a guaranteed $16/hour base pay, with the potential to earn $25–$30/hour (hourly wage + tips + product commission). We have up to 40 hours/week available, with the option to work at both Reston & Fairfax locations.
Responsibilities
As an Assistant Salon Manager, you'll deliver quality haircuts in 14–17 minutes, be comfortable recommending products, and have a team-orientated mindset. Weekend availability is required, with Sundays being a priority.

Requirements
- A valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License (requirements vary by state/province)
- Strong technical haircutting skills and great customer service
- A team-first mindset with a desire to encourage and support others
- Clear communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude
- Organization, flexibility, and the desire to help keep the salon running smoothly
- An interest in growing your leadership skills and taking on more responsibility
Qualifications
No management experience is necessary to apply, as many Assistant Salon Managers grow into the role from a stylist position. An interest in leadership and supporting others is just as important as prior experience.
