Responsibilities
- Lead front-of-house (FOH) operations during the restaurant opening and daily service.
- Hire, train, schedule, and coach servers, hosts, bartenders, and support staff.
- Maintain exceptional guest service standards and resolve customer concerns.
- Oversee floor management, table flow, and service execution during peak hours.
- Support onboarding, training programs, and team development.
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and service standards.
- Assist with inventory, ordering, and cost control for FOH supplies.
- Manage cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) accuracy, and daily reporting.
- Collaborate with the Restaurant General Manager and Bar Manager on events, promotions, and service improvements.
- Uphold Ember & Oak Kitchens culture of hospitality, teamwork, and professionalism.
Qualifications
- 2 + years of front-of-house (FOH) management or supervisory experience (restaurant or hotel).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage high-volume service with calm, professional presence.
- Experience with staff training, scheduling, and performance coaching.
- Knowledge of service standards, guest relations, and FOH operations.
- POS experience (Aloha/Lightspeed preferred).
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- New restaurant opening experience is a plus but not required.
