Responsibilities
- Aid in field supervision and construction oversight, monitoring contractor activities for compliance with plans, protocols, and project requirements.
- Document and report daily construction activities, focusing on safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
- Assist with environmental and regulatory compliance through monitoring programs, NEPA evaluations, and review of contractor plans.
- Support project controls and documentation, including schedule and cost tracking, drawing and specification maintenance, and record keeping.
- Engage in quality assurance activities, implementing quality management plans, coordinating tests and inspections, reviewing documentation, and resolving nonconformances.
- Participate in coordination and communication efforts by attending meetings, preparing reports, documenting minutes, and managing interface across project disciplines.
- Contribute to safety management, project closeout, and asset management activities, such as reviewing safety plans, responding to incidents, conducting asbuilt reviews, and contributing to maintenance strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with a focus on professional development and career advancement.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction management, field engineering, or inspection on large-scale infrastructure, transportation, tunnel, rail, or similar major projects.
- Familiarity with federally funded projects and regulatory frameworks, including federal, state, and local codes, standards, permitting processes, and Buy America requirements.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, project controls, quality assurance processes, document control, and basic cost and schedule management.
- Working knowledge of environmental compliance, safety management, and sustainability practices, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and basic project management software; BIM or CAD experience is a plus.
- Willingness to work in the field and adapt to changing project needs.
