Assistant Recreation Supervisor I

About the Role

Leadership position responsible for overseeing administration, management, and operation of a recreation facility. Directly responsible for the overall operation of the facility in the Recreation Supervisor’s absence.

Responsibilities

• Making cash-outs and handling deposits
• Inventory control
• Answering citizen complaints
• Supervision of employees
• Implementation of policies and procedures

Requirements

• Past supervisory experience
• Must obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment (free classes offered to Parks employees; certification must be from an organization approved by the Bureau of Community and Health Systems, Child Care Licensing Division)

Preferred Qualifications

• Past experience in recreation facility management
• Background and/or training specifically related to facility operation
• Experience with cash handling, staff management, and policy and procedure implementation

• Ability to remain in a sitting position for extended periods of time

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $18.68
