Responsibilities

• Directly supervises the recreation aides.
• Manages well-rounded recreation, avocation programs, and Student Government Association (SGA).
• Plans, coordinates, and supervises administrative and programmatic activities of the department.
• Trains staff, evaluates performance, assists with budget development, implements policies, audits department, inspects facilities, develops and distributes activity plans, develops curricula, establishes shift schedules, coordinates activities, logs activities, provides customer service, supports employability programs, promotes Zero Tolerance Policy, and maintains accountability.
• Ensures compliance and quality of services, maintains facility standards, and enforces safety practices.

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree and three years’ experience working with youth and young adults, one of which should be in a supervisory capacity.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Pay

$38,000 - 42,000 annually based on experience.
