Greene County Prosecutor’s Office is accepting applications for an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney assigned to the Criminal Division.
About the role
This is a litigation position. The primary responsibility is to represent the State of Ohio in felony criminal prosecutions. Docket prosecutors appear before the Greene County Court of Common Pleas and work closely with law enforcement officers and victim advocates to properly prepare cases for trial.
Responsibilities
- Handle case intake and probable cause determinations
- Present criminal cases before grand jury
- Engage in pre-trial motion practice
- Try cases before a jury or before the Court
- Post-conviction motion practice
Requirements
- Attorneys licensed to practice in the State of Ohio
- At least three years of litigation experience, including jury trial experience (extraordinarily qualified applicants with less experience will be considered)
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work within a team dynamic

Pay
$72,500.00 to $87,500.00, depending upon experience level
Schedule
Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday. Actual work hours for the felony docket position will vary. Docket prosecutors have an on-call responsibility.
