Assistant Project Surveyor III

About the role

Join C.T. Male Associates, a multi-discipline surveying, engineering, environmental, and architectural firm in the Northeast, as an Assistant Project Surveyor in either our Latham or Syracuse, NY office. You’ll support both field and office surveying operations across a wide range of projects.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on in both the field and office to support survey projects.
• Solve real-world problems using trigonometry, geometry, and mapping skills.
• Interpret deeds, easements, and maps to bring projects to life.
• Convert raw field data into clean, accurate survey documents.
• Create topographic contours and perform detailed construction layout calculations.
• Organize data, coordinate workloads, and meet deadlines to keep projects moving.
• Act as a point of contact on select projects, ensuring smooth client communication.
• Research records from government agencies to prepare projects for survey.
• Contribute to legal descriptions and cost estimates that guide project work.

Requirements

• A.A.S. Degree in Surveying Technology or certificate from a college or technical school; or five plus (5+) years of related experience; and/or an equivalent combination of training, education, and/or experience.
• Strong math, drafting, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience reading technical documents and maps.
• Valid driver’s license.

Pay

$32.00 - $40.00 per hour, paid weekly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
