Assistant Project Manager - Low Voltage

Job Summary

Aid Project Managers in scheduling, manpower planning, and personnel assignment. Minimum qualifications include an associate's degree in construction management or related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• Associate's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
• Previous experience with Integrated Systems (fire alarm, voice/data, fiber optics, building automation systems, audio visual, CCTV, access control, intrusion and distributed antenna systems)
• Familiarity with Accubid
• NICET, BICSI, RCDD, and OSHA 10 certifications preferred

• Knowledge of construction (technology, equipment, methods, codes)
• Craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, estimating, schedules and safety
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong project management skills, analytical, and negotiation skills

• Professional demeanor with ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, vendors, and others
• Strong organizational, record-keeping, and follow-up skills

Job Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in planning work schedules, determining manpower levels, and arranging personnel assignments
• Advise Project Managers on potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties; assist in resolving these issues
• Perform tasks to assist in budget development for portions of projects, including coding timesheets, invoices, collecting quantities, monitoring progress, identifying potential cost overruns, etc.
• Assist with or update construction forecasts to reflect accurate and current cost and estimate information
• Analyze work progress and develop craft productivity reports to document cost/budget activity
• Prepare various comparison reports, charts, and tables for project analysis
• Assist in preparing special reports, studies, etc., as requested by the client and/or project management
• Aid in managing and issuing subcontracts
• Avoid and resolve safety-related incidents, obtain necessary permits/licenses, and ensure compliance with company and client safety initiatives
• Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned
