About the role
This entry-level full-time position is based in our Orlando, FL office and involves a variety of geotechnical engineering tasks. The role includes summarizing and evaluating field and laboratory data, performing geotechnical analyses, drafting engineering reports, researching and reviewing project information, developing and reviewing construction drawings, and coordinating with field and laboratory personnel.Responsibilities
- Summarize, evaluate, and present field and laboratory data using Microsoft Excel and Sigma Plot.
- Perform geotechnical analyses using SEEP/W, SLOPE/W, and GMS-MODFLOW.
- Draft engineering reports for senior engineers.
- Research and review information and data for engineering projects.
- Develop and review construction drawings and technical specifications for engineering projects.
- Coordinate with field personnel to perform subsurface exploration programs and field tests.
- Coordinate with laboratory personnel to perform laboratory testing on soil, geosynthetic, and water samples.
Requirements
- Master’s degree specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an ABET accredited program or currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from a ABET accredited program with degree to be completed within a year.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
