Responsibilities
- Reviews design drawings and 3D BIM models for accuracy and completeness, coordinating resolution of discrepancies and/or missing information with customers, design team, other trades, detailing, shop, & field as needed.
- Captures project sequencing and basic detailing job setup, including advance bills and shop and erection drawings.
- Provides instructions and guidance to steel detailers in preparing models, shop drawings, and erection drawings according to project requirements and standards.
- Maintains project schedules regarding submittals, approvals, and shop fabrication releases, identifying and communicating potential delays or issues to the project management team.
- Facilitates and fulfills other documentation efforts and duties as required.
- Distributes and routes drawings, coordinates with Document Control to avoid delays, and maintains logs.
- Coordinates with shop, field, detailers, and subcontractors to resolve fabrication and erection difficulties.
- Communicates with the GrayWolf project team as an essential part of the Project Management Team to achieve successful project results.
- Requires travel to design and coordination meetings, fabrication facilities, and job sites.
- Coordinates detailing efforts of various common subcontractors.
- Serves as a direct link between detailers, project managers, and other production departments and key trade partners, customers, other contractors, and Design Team as required.
- Works closely with the Director of Project Management and Detailing Manager to assist with selection and training of incoming and current Project Engineers, Field Engineers, and/or Trainees.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required. An Associate’s Degree or training from an approved and accredited technical school in engineering, detailing, CAD/Computer Aided Drafting, BIM/Building Information Modeling, or a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Structural/Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Architecture, or Business is preferred.
- Prior experience with structural steel projects, including coordination, detailing, BIM, and design is preferred.
- Experience with AWS and AISC is a plus.

Pay
Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Full-time position with flexible hours to accommodate project needs.
