About the role

The Assistant Program Manager will support the planning, execution, and oversight of procurement, manufacturing, system integration and testing activities for advanced Radar Systems and Flight Termination Systems (FTS).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team of RF Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Software Engineers to develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate cross-functional activities, identify program risks and estimate project costs.
  • Develop manufacturing project plans at the onset of each project, to include a schedule with milestones, a financial plan, a work breakdown structure (WBS) and deliverables.
  • Work with Contract Management staff to establish charge numbers and budgets (based on the WBS) for the Costpoint accounting system.
  • Work with Contract Management staff and Subcontractors to Generate Estimates to Complete (ETCs) and Estimates at Completion (EACs) for multiple manufacturing projects in various stages of development/production.
  • Develop proposal labor estimates and Costed Bill of Materials (CBOM) estimates for large-scale custom-designed electronic systems.
  • Develop and maintain project schedule in MS Project. Assist with project plans, monthly reports etc. that can be used to ensure that work is progressing as planned.
  • Aid in the collection of material quotes, cost information, and entry of purchase requisitions for part integration.
  • Track and prioritize manufacturing orders, procurement activities and inventory assets to ensure schedule commitments are upheld.
  • Maintain the progress of each project to ensure that the goals of the project plan and the ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System (QMS) are met.
  • Coordinate ISO-9001 annual external and internal audits and management review meetings and provide regular ISO related surveillance activities within the Radar Group organization.
  • Ensure that deliverables comply with U.S. Government export laws.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in an electronic products development environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Project Management, or Business Management/Administration.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including expert knowledge and use of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Project. Project is the principal project management tool used in ATG.
  • Experience in Critical Path and Earned Value analysis is necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage performance, cost, and schedule through the full life cycle of a project.
  • Experience working in an ISO-9001 certified organization with direct involvement in the surveillance and auditing processes.

Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience in Manufacturing and Asset Tracking.
  • Experience using Requirements Management software tools.
  • Knowledge of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • Experience entering purchase requisitions in CostPoint.

Skills

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

$75,000 - $125,000
