About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Program Director to oversee ICF/Waiver sites in coordination with Program Managers. This role involves managing staff, ensuring quality services, and adhering to regulations.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate Program Managers.
- Assume management responsibilities when Program Manager positions are vacant.
- Maintain staffing levels and ensure sanitation and infection control.
- Develop and implement quality service standards.
- Coordinate Manager Team Meetings and provide in-service education.
- Develop and monitor individualized Program Plans.
- Respond to Vulnerable Adult Reports and complete QIDP duties.
- Monitor individuals' finances and perform audits.
- Provide training and support to Program Managers.
- Perform direct care duties, including assisting with activities of daily living.
- Adhere to safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
- Participate in fundraising and development activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services related field (social services, sociology, psychology, or human services).
- 3+ years of supervisory/management experience in long-term and/or residential settings.
- Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) certification.
- CPR, First Aid, and Medication Passer certification within 60 days of employment.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to be responsible for 24-hour on-call coverage.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate household and facility equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-based documentation.
