About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Program Director to oversee three Independent Community Based (ICF) sites in coordination with the Program Manager. This role involves managing staff, ensuring service standards, and advocating for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating Program Managers.
  • Maintain staffing levels and ensure the appearance of the houses meet sanitation and infection control standards.
  • Evaluate the functioning of individual services and participate in the development of organization goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate Manager Team Meetings and provide in-service education and orientation to staff.
  • Coordinate and facilitate individual meetings with Program Managers, and complete QIDP duties.
  • Advocate for residents, lead the development and implementation of Active Treatment and Person-Centered Program Plans, and monitor individuals' finances.
  • Assist with admissions and discharges, perform direct care duties, and respond to Vulnerable Adult Reports.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, staff, families, and other stakeholders, and respond to customer complaints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services related field (social services, sociology, psychology, or human services).
  • 3 or more years of Supervisory/Management experience in long-term and/or residential settings.
  • Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP).
  • CPR, First Aid, and Trained Medication Passer certified within 60 days of employment.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Able to maintain a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to be responsible for 24-hour on-call coverage and respond to issues as necessary.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, sit, stand, stoop, bend, reach, and push/pull wheelchairs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to use a computer for required documentation, communication, timekeeping, and other assessments.
  • Ability to operate and maintain household, office, and facility equipment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to see and hear in order to make assessments.
  • Full-time employment.
