Assistant Program Director - Doctor of Nursing Program-Nurse Anesthesia Program
Responsibilities
Provides operational support, under the direction of the Nurse Anesthesia Program Director, to ensure program quality, accreditation compliance, and continuous improvement in alignment with accreditation and state regulatory requirements.
Collaborates closely with the Program Director and Associate Dean for the Graduate Program in Nursing in the areas of accreditation, curriculum oversight, clinical education management, faculty support, student progression, and outcomes assessment.
Teaching responsibilities include didactic, lab, and clinical instruction, curriculum development, and academic advising.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in nursing or related field from an institution of higher education recognized and accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education
- A current unencumbered RN and APRN licensure or eligibility for licensure as required by Nebraska
- Nationally certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- A minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience as a CRNA
- Formal education in instruction, curriculum, and evaluation is required or willingness to complete the AANA microcredential in education
- Current knowledge of institutional and programmatic accreditation requirements for nurse anesthesia educational programs
