About the role
Rite of Passage is hiring an Assistant Program Director at Miami Youth Academy in Miami, Florida. Miami Youth Academy is a residential commitment program for at-risk female youth providing comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based intensive mental health services.
Responsibilities
- Quality delivery and oversight of the treatment, educational, vocational and student health and welfare services in accordance with Rite of Passage policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local rules, regulations, licensing, practices and laws.
- Day-to-day site operations, administrative oversight for the site, and leader of the site management team.
- Ensuring the Mission and Values of ROP are represented in every facet under his/her organizational control.
- Developing, implementing, managing and modifying the Rite of Passage program.
- Managing the budget, site expenditures, Position Control Roster, and reporting.
- Training and continuous development of site management team.
- Ensuring training compliance (Pre-Service, Ops, OJT, and In-Service).
- Employee evaluation, discipline, and/or corrective action.
- Maintaining proper staffing levels within established Position Control Roster standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience working with the Department of Juvenile Justice in Florida.
- Minimum of four years of related experience in residential facility management.
- Empathetic, patient, and respectful approach to others.
Qualifications
- Pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
Skills
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of residential facility management best practices.
