The Assistant Program Coordinator plays a vital role in helping individuals achieve greater independence, confidence, and success while promoting dignity, respect, inclusion, and personal choice.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the oversight and operation of a Community Living Arrangement (CLA) while ensuring quality supports and meaningful daily experiences for individuals served.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to Residential Specialists through coaching, training, performance feedback, and staff development activities.
- Attend consumer medical appointments and assist with medication management oversight, documentation reviews, and medication administration compliance.
- Monitor program operations, electronic documentation, regulatory compliance, safety standards, fire drills, quality inspections, and incident reporting requirements.
- Support staffing, scheduling, on-call responsibilities, part-team member, communication with families and community partners, and the maintenance of safe, clean, and compliant residential environments.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One (1) year of experience in human services or a related field
- Valid driver's license, current vehicle registration, reliable transportation, and current vehicle insurance
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and sound judgment
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to supervise and support direct care staff
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of and ability to work with individuals with mental health diagnoses
- Experience in residential services, behavioral health, or developmental disability programs
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
