About the role
The Assistant Program Manager supports the Program Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Charisma’s Heart's residential programs. This role involves assisting in program planning, coordination, staff supervision, and direct resident support.
Responsibilities
- Program Support: Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing residential programs.
- Resident Services: Provide direct services, including intake and assessment, case management, and referrals to community resources.
- Staff Supervision: Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising program staff, volunteers, and interns.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records and documentation, prepare reports, and assist in budget management.
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute program-related events, workshops, and activities.
- Crisis Management: Offer support during crises, intervene in conflicts, and ensure staff readiness for emergencies.
- Community Outreach: Engage in community outreach to promote the organization's programs and services.
- Program Evaluation: Evaluate program effectiveness, gather feedback, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Compliance: Ensure programs comply with regulations and maintain safety inspections.
- Budget Management: Monitor program expenditures, manage resources, and support fundraising efforts.
- Resident Engagement: Encourage resident participation and foster a supportive community atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in program coordination or management, preferably in a residential or social services setting.
- Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software, ability to handle multiple tasks, and strong problem-solving and crisis management abilities.
- Knowledge: Understanding of issues faced by low-income families, familiarity with local community resources and support networks.
