About the role

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, in conjunction with the Norton Children’s Medical Group, has an opening for a Pediatric Ophthalmologist (full-time 1.0 FTE) at the rank of Assistant Professor Term.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care in the pediatric eye clinic located in the Novak Center, which houses the clinical offices of all pediatric subspecialties.
  • Participate in the academic, adult patient clinical and research offices of the faculty housed in the Kentucky Lions Eye Center.
  • Be eligible for licensure in the state of Kentucky.
  • Be fellowship-trained in Pediatric Ophthalmology.
  • Have a strong commitment to clinical care and teaching in an academic setting.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited ophthalmology residency program.
  • Board eligible/certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology or a Board deemed equivalent.
