About the role

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Louisville invites applications for a one-year non-tenure track teaching position at the Assistant Professor level starting August 1, 2026. This position is renewable based on performance and staffing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Teach both online and in-person classes including large lectures at the general education level
  • Teach courses for prospective elementary and middle grades teachers
  • Occasional evening courses may be assigned
  • Participate in departmental service activities and meetings

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. or equivalent in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field
  • Experience teaching at the college level is required
  • Experience with online classes, active learning classrooms, teacher preparation courses, and adaptive learning software is highly preferred

  • Ability to teach a variety of mathematics courses
