About the role
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Louisville invites applications for a one-year non-tenure track teaching position at the Assistant Professor level starting August 1, 2026. This position is renewable based on performance and staffing needs.
Responsibilities
- Teach both online and in-person classes including large lectures at the general education level
- Teach courses for prospective elementary and middle grades teachers
- Occasional evening courses may be assigned
- Participate in departmental service activities and meetings
Requirements
- A Ph.D. or equivalent in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field
- Experience teaching at the college level is required
- Experience with online classes, active learning classrooms, teacher preparation courses, and adaptive learning software is highly preferred

- Ability to teach a variety of mathematics courses
