About the role

The University of Nottingham, School of Law is seeking an Assistant Professor to join their intellectually engaging and collegial academic environment. The position is a fixed-term, full-time post for one year, covering a colleague's period of leave.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and shape the undergraduate curriculum in one or more of the following core modules: Introduction to Law and Legal Theory, Foundations of Tort, Contract Law, Criminal Law, Land Law, Law of Trusts.
  • Teaching in Consumer and Marketing Law is particularly encouraged.

Requirements

The successful candidate should be committed to inspiring and engaging students and developing and conducting innovative, original scholarship or research.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Law or a related field, along with a strong track record of teaching and research.

Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively, and a passion for teaching and research.

Pay

The salary range is £42,254 to £58,225 per annum pro-rata, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
