About the role

The University of Washington Information School seeks to hire two Assistant Teaching Professors to complement its existing expertise in Business Intelligence/Business Analytics and Program and Product Management within the Master of Information Management (MSIM) Program. These positions aim to contribute to the school's commitment to excellence in teaching, service, and social impact.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in Business Intelligence/Business Analytics and/or Program and Product Management within the MSIM Program.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the MSIM curriculum.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including research and publication.
  • Participate in service activities, such as advising students, committee work, and professional development initiatives.

Requirements

  • A terminal degree in Information Management, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching Business Intelligence/Business Analytics and/or Program and Product Management.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to teach effectively at the graduate level.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

  • Passion for teaching and mentoring students in an interdisciplinary setting.
  • Interest in contributing to the school's mission of enhancing inclusion, diversity, equity, access, and sovereignty (IDEAS).
  • Experience with innovative pedagogical approaches and technology integration in teaching.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software tools for teaching and research.

Pay

The starting salary range for these positions is $75,000 - $85,000 per year.

Schedule
