About the role
The Division of Biomedical and Translational Sciences at the University of South Dakota’s Sanford School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. We seek an energetic and collaborative individual that will interact with faculty within the Division of Biomedical and Translational Sciences. The Division has current strengths in Neuroscience, Cardiovascular Science, Protein Quality Control, Cancer Biology and Microbiology/Immunology.
Responsibilities
Applicants must have a PhD in Biomedical Sciences or closely related OR M.D. and at least two years of post-doctoral experience is required. Applicants should have strong potential for developing an innovative, independent, and translational research program that has or is likely to attract significant extramural funding. Experience in teaching Systems Physiology is required. In addition, the applicant should have the ability to mentor and teach graduate, health sciences and/or medical students. Excellent start-up funds, state-funded salary commensurate with experience and state-of-the-art research facilities will be provided.
