Job Description
The Department of Pharmacy Administration at The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy is seeking an individual for a full time, tenure-track position for the rank of Assistant Professor. A Ph.D. or comparable degree in pharmacy administration, health services research, or related field is required by the time of employment. Experience in or knowledge of the health care system and/or the field of pharmacy is required.
Responsibilities
- Teaching at the professional and graduate levels
- Initiation of research projects
- Participation in collaborative research projects of mutual interest
Specific Teaching Responsibilities
- Teaching basic statistics and other aspects of social and administrative pharmacy, such as quality measurement, to pharmacy students
- Data management (including use and applications of statistical software and artificial intelligence) to graduate students
Research Interests
- Pharmaceutical marketing
- Pharmacy management
- Practice research
- Pharmacoeconomics
- Pharmacoepidemiology
- Outcomes research
- Health policy
- Social behavioral research
