About the role
The person holding this position will report to the Director of the C.N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics, Stony Brook University. The successful applicant will be expected to engage in independently funded research characterized by creativity and vision, and in mentorship and educational training with a commitment to inclusivity.
Responsibilities
- Engage in independently funded research characterized by creativity and vision
- Mentor and educate students and postdoctoral researchers
- Contribute to the academic community through publications and presentations
- Participate in departmental and university committees as appropriate
Requirements
- A PhD in physics or a related field
- Research expertise in quantum information science
- Strong teaching record
- Commitment to inclusivity and diversity
