About the role
The Department of Internal Medicine & Geriatrics at the University of North Texas Health - Fort Worth is seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to join their multidisciplinary clinical team. This position supports collaborative clinical partnerships to expand access and continuity of behavioral health services across the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients through UNT Health Clinical Practice Group, including medication management and psychotherapy as appropriate.
- Provide psychiatric services to JPS Employee Health Clinic as part of the interagency collaboration, ensuring continuity of care and documentation compliance.
- Teach, mentor, and supervise medical students and residents within the TCOM and UNT Health framework.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.
- Eligible for or holds a Texas medical license.
- Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Board Certified.
- Experience providing care in both academic and community settings.
- Familiarity with integrated behavioral health models and interprofessional care.
