Essential Job Functions
- Provide direct patient care specializing in otorhinolaryngology, including surgery, consultative services, outpatient services, and care of hospitalized patients
- Participate in all teaching activities of the Department including conferences and lectures, bedside teaching, and rounds
- Supervise house staff in the operating room, clinics, and inpatient services
- Participate in continuing medical education and local, regional, and national meetings
- Teach medical students, house staff, nursing students, and allied health students
- Advance clinical knowledge through scholarly and research efforts
- Participate in either basic research (laboratory) or clinical research and publication of scientific articles
- Perform administrative responsibilities including supervising and evaluating residents, providing medical direction, and participating in committee memberships at the departmental and health system levels
- Deploy to Galveston, Texas City, TDC, and League City clinics with OR at Jennie Sealy
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited medical school
- Completed an ACGME approved residency training program in otolaryngology
- Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology
- Eligible for or hold a Texas Medical License without restrictions
