Essential Job Functions

  • Provide direct patient care specializing in otorhinolaryngology, including surgery, consultative services, outpatient services, and care of hospitalized patients
  • Participate in all teaching activities of the Department including conferences and lectures, bedside teaching and rounds; house staff supervision in the operating room, clinics and inpatient services; continuing medical education; and local, regional and national meetings
  • Teach medical students, house staff, nursing students, and allied health students
  • Advance clinical knowledge through scholarly and research efforts; participate in either basic research (laboratory) or clinical research and publication of scientific articles
  • Perform administrative responsibilities including supervising and evaluating residents, providing medical direction, and participating in committee memberships at the departmental and health system levels

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school
  • Completed an ACGME approved residency training program in otolaryngology
  • Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology
  • Eligible for or have a Texas Medical License without restrictions

This position will be deployed in Galveston, Texas City, TDC, and League City clinics with OR at Jennie Sealy.
