About the role

The WPI Business School seeks motivated applicants for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor in Work and Organizations/Organizational Behavior to build on the university's strengths in the future of work, organizing, and leadership in the digital age. Successful candidates must be prepared to conduct high-impact research, publish in high-quality outlets, and commit to high-quality teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-impact research, publish in high-quality outlets
  • Teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels
  • Engage in interdisciplinary scholarship and industry collaboration
  • Lead and manage cross-cultural, cross-disciplinary teams
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative project-based pedagogy

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. in management, organization studies, or other related field
  • Ability to engage in high-quality scholarship and teaching
  • Demonstrated interests in creativity, innovation, or leadership
  • Interest in how digital tools and technologies (including artificial intelligence (AI)) are transforming workplace dynamics, organizations, careers, and industries
  • Interest in social impact, sustainability, and ethics in the age of AI

Qualifications

  • Ability and willingness to teach at the graduate and undergraduate level

Skills

  • Strong research and publication record
  • Effective teaching skills
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration and industry engagement
  • Experience with project-based learning
