About the role
The WPI Business School seeks motivated applicants for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor in Work and Organizations/Organizational Behavior to build on the university's strengths in the future of work, organizing, and leadership in the digital age. Successful candidates must be prepared to conduct high-impact research, publish in high-quality outlets, and commit to high-quality teaching.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-impact research, publish in high-quality outlets
- Teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels
- Engage in interdisciplinary scholarship and industry collaboration
- Lead and manage cross-cultural, cross-disciplinary teams
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative project-based pedagogy
Requirements
- A Ph.D. in management, organization studies, or other related field
- Ability to engage in high-quality scholarship and teaching
- Demonstrated interests in creativity, innovation, or leadership
- Interest in how digital tools and technologies (including artificial intelligence (AI)) are transforming workplace dynamics, organizations, careers, and industries
- Interest in social impact, sustainability, and ethics in the age of AI
Qualifications
- Ability and willingness to teach at the graduate and undergraduate level
Skills
- Strong research and publication record
- Effective teaching skills
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and industry engagement
- Experience with project-based learning
