Assistant Professor of Political Science
Department of Political Science at Barnard College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the subfields of comparative politics and/or international relations. We are particularly interested in scholars focused on South Asia (especially India), the Middle East, American Foreign Policy, technology/social media and politics, data and politics, race/ethnic politics, and/or the global politics of immigration/migration. The start date for this position is July 1, 2027.
About the role
We seek candidates who show exceptional promise in their scholarship, with potential for publication in major refereed journals and/or University presses. Candidates should also demonstrate excellence in teaching at or beyond the level of teaching assistant.

- PhD in Political Science or related field (must be in hand by the start of the appointment)

$95,000 to $115,000
