Assistant Professor of Medicine, Cardiac Imaging Noninvasive Cardiologist ( 3 positions available )

About the role

This position will be responsible for developing the Cardiac MRI program at Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine’s Department of Cardiovascular Services.

Responsibilities

• Establishing an MRI program at the institution
• Rotating at 2 hospitals and 1 clinic site in the Huntington, WV area
• Call is 1:6, weekends only, shared between all attendings with fellows participating in rounds
• Teaching formally and informally for the 12 cardiology fellows
• Teaching residents and medical students
• Participating in collaborative research opportunities with translational, biomedical sciences programs

Requirements

• Specializing in advanced cardiac imaging
• Appointment to the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine (with ACGME-approved general cardiology and interventional fellowship programs)
• Available for Assistant or Associate Professor, nontenured clinical track or tenure-track educator positions

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease
• Experience in advanced cardiac imaging
