About the role
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.
Responsibilities
- Expertise in the specific area of coronary microvascular disease, invasive coronary function testing, high-risk PCI, and chronic total occlusion PCI with specialized training preferred.
- Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology is required.
- Teaching responsibilities may include training medical students, fellows, and residents.
- Clinical responsibilities may include performing and interpreting invasive (non-interventional) cardiac catheterization studies (cardiac catheterization laboratory at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania), percutaneous coronary interventions, and attending on the coronary care unit and inpatient consultative services.
- Research or scholarship responsibilities may include publishing in peer-reviewed literature, seeking and obtaining independent investigator-initiated funding for research, and interfacing with division clinical research programs in interventional cardiology.
- Subspecialty training and documented skills in all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedures, and a track record of substantial academic productivity are required.
Requirements
Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
