Assistant Professor of Medicine Faculty Position, Interventional Cardiology

Responsibilities

• Performing and interpreting invasive (non-interventional) cardiac catheterization studies
• Percutaneous coronary interventions
• Attending on the coronary care unit and inpatient consultative services
• Teaching medical students, fellows, and residents
• Research or scholarship responsibilities may include publishing in peer-reviewed literature, seeking and obtaining independent investigator-initiated funding for research, and interfacing with division clinical research programs in interventional cardiology

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology
• Subspecialty training and documented skills in all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedures
• Track record of substantial academic productivity

Qualifications

• M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree

Skills

• Expertise in the specific area of coronary microvascular disease, invasive coronary function testing, high-risk PCI, and chronic total occlusion PCI
• Specialized training preferred
