Assistant Professor of Instruction - Residency

About the role

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction seeks a qualified candidate to serve as a Faculty Field Supervisor for the year-long teacher residency program, with the potential to advance to the role of Regional Site Coordinator.

This individual serves as the university’s representative within assigned districts across the state, fostering collaborative relationships and promoting high-quality educator preparation.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill all supervisory duties for teacher candidates in clinical residency experiences, in accordance with requirements set by the Texas Education Agency and the university.
• Develop and sustain strong partnerships between the university and partner school districts to support the effective implementation and long-term success of the residency program.
• Collaborate with district and campus administrators.
• Teach courses within the residency program.
• Supervise Resident Teachers.
• Contribute to ongoing program improvement through data-informed practices.

Qualifications

Reporting to the Co-Directors of Residency.
