Assistant Professor of Information Systems/Block Chain
About the role
The Business School at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) seeks a motivated Assistant Professor of Information Systems (dual mission tenure-track) to build on the university's strengths in the information technology space. The ideal candidate will focus on research in blockchain technologies and their applications, particularly in fintech.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-impact research in blockchain technologies and their applications.
- Publish in high-quality academic journals and conferences.
- Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Information Systems and related fields.
- Collaborate with colleagues from the Business School and other departments with technology, engineering, and analytics expertise.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. in Information Systems or a related field is required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record of engaging in high-quality scholarship and teaching.
- Demonstrated interest in blockchain and fintech is highly desirable.
- Ability to teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
Qualifications
- Interest in collaborative work with colleagues from the Business School and other departments.
- Strong commitment to high-quality teaching and research.
- Ability to engage in high-quality scholarship and high-quality teaching.
Skills

Benefits

Schedule
Full-time, exempt position starting in August 2027.
