About the Role
This is a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of German, commencing with the Fall Semester 2027.
Responsibilities
- Teach a 2/2 load, including German language classes and courses on literary and cultural topics in both German and English.
- Participate in the communal life of the Department of German, Slavic, and Eurasian Studies.
- Contribute widely to the liberal arts curriculum at the University of Notre Dame.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in German Studies or related field (must be in hand by the time of appointment).
- Experience teaching German language and literature/culture classes.
- Demonstrated potential for significant scholarly contributions to the field of German Studies.
- Interdisciplinary interests in research and pedagogy are welcome.
