About the role

The Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University seeks to hire one or more full-time Assistant Professor positions in the Marketing Department for the academic year 2027-2028. Responsibilities include conducting advanced research, supervising doctoral candidates, teaching marketing courses, and collaborating with other faculty.

Responsibilities

- Conducting advanced research in chosen areas of expertise and interest. - Supervising doctoral candidates. - Teaching basic and advanced courses in marketing at the Master’s and/or Doctoral Degree level. - Contributing to the research and teaching of other faculty members.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in marketing or related fields (e.g., economics, management, psychology, sociology, statistics, cognitive science, etc.), with the degree expected by employment start date. Selection criteria include research record, adaptability, interests in marketing problems, teaching ability, and recommendations.

Pay

The expected base pay range for this position is $218,000 - $240,000. This base pay range is for a nine-month academic appointment, does not include summer salary, and is subject to negotiation. Research discretionary funding will also be provided. Summer salary, including from sponsored projects, may also be available.
