Assistant Professor, Linguistics (open area)
We seek to fill a full-time tenure-eligible position at the rank of Assistant Professor, with a start date of September 1, 2027.
About the role
We are looking for candidates who pursue an integrated approach to the scientific study of language, utilizing experimental, computational, and/or data-intensive approaches to inform linguistic theory and its applications. The candidate will join a vibrant interdisciplinary community including researchers from cognitive neuroscience, computer science, philosophy, psychology, and speech science. We seek candidates with a forward-looking research program that holds the promise of future external funding.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Psychology, or a related field by the start date

Pay
The expected base pay range for this position is $95,000 - $125,000 for a nine-month academic appointment. This range does not include summer salary and is subject to negotiation. The pay offered will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, departmental budget, internal comparators, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
