About the role

The Department of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track teaching faculty member (Assistant Professor in Residence) to begin Fall, 2027. A primary responsibility for this position is the development and instruction of undergraduate courses in careers in psychology. This position also involves teaching foundational and upper-division courses, including capstone.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and teach undergraduate courses in careers in psychology.
  • Instruct foundational and upper-division courses, including capstone.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives and programs.
  • Participate in assessment and quality control processes.

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. in psychology or related discipline from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • Substantial teaching experience, including online teaching.
  • A willingness to work with a program coordinator for assessment and quality control.
